We at CARPLS express our sympathy to the family Tyre Nichols in the aftermath of his tragic and untimely death.
CARPLS denounces the actions of the five police officers charged with the unjustifiable killing of Tyre and supports the swift actions of the City of Memphis and the Memphis Police Department in firing and prosecuting the five officers. CARPLS recognizes the continuing need for support for justice in the wake of abhorrent police brutality.
We wholeheartedly agree with President’s Biden’s message: “We must do everything in our power to ensure our criminal justice system lives up to the promise of fair and impartial justice, equal treatment, and dignity for all.”
