Margaret Egan is the Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Prior to entering the hospitality industry, Margaret practiced law in the litigation practice group of DLA Piper in Chicago and held a position as Attorney Advisor with the United States Department of Justice in London.
Margaret serves on the Board of Sarah’s Circle, focused on ending homelessness for women, and on the Board of Counselors for Equal Justice Works, whose fellowship program, also supported by Hyatt, launches careers in public interest law. In 2023, she was honored by the National Legal Aid & Defender Association for her work promoting equity in the legal profession.
